Document status: 2024-07-28
==============================================================

This document advises about the firmware update procedure. The process is similar to
updating the multiverter's firmware itself.

Firmware update
===============
1. Make sure the SRC module is installed in the multiverter according to the instructions
   supplied with the ASRC.

1. Switch the multiverter OFF.

2. *** IMPORTANT: REMOVE MAINS POWER FROM THE MULTIVERTER TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK !!! ****

3. Open the multiverter's cover (see ASRC manual how to do this)

4. Connect the USB jack on the ASRC module to your PC (anything from Windows 7 on should work).
   (this is NOT the USB jack of the back on multiverter!)

5. Re-connect mains power to the multiverter, and switch it on.
    *** DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING INSIDE THE MULTIVERTER - LIVE 230V WIRES INSIDE !!! ***

5. Run "SRC-128-Updater.bat" and confirm with "U". The update process takes about
   1 minute. Check the screen output for any error messages. If an error occured
   try again or refer to the "Troubleshooting" section below.

6. Switch the multiverter off.
   *** REMOVE THE MAINS POWER FROM THE BACK TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK !!! ****

7. Re-mount the cover

7. Check if the update was successful: Push "Recall", select "Function",
   select "12" and press "OK". Then the current version info is displayed on the channel/volume
   display. Rotate the encoder to display the version numbers as follows

   (*)EX: SRC firmware major number, e.g. "01"
   ( )Ch: SRC firmware minor number, e.g. "01"
   ( )Vol: SRC hardware version, e.g. "00"

   The above version info corresponds with SRC firmware 1.1 and hardware version 00.
