============================================================== FLX-DANTE Firmware Update Procedure Document status: 2021-11-22 ============================================================== This document advises about the firmware update procedure. The process is similar to updating the multiverter's firmware itself. Firmware update =============== 1. Switch the flexiverter OFF. 2. Connect the flexiverter via USB to your PC (anything from Windows 7 on should work). 3. Switch the flexiverter ON and wait about 10 seconds until USB has been detected 4. Run "FLX-DANTE-Updater.bat" and confirm with "U". The update process takes about 1 minute. Check the screen output for any error messages. If an error occured try again or refer to the "Troubleshooting" section below. 5. Power cycle the device 6. Update the Dante module itself over the network, using Dante Controller or Dante Firmware Update Manager (https://my.audinate.com/latest-firmware-update-manager) 6. Power cycle the device again 7. Check if the update was successful: Hold "MODE" button while switching on the device. - The number of pink LEDs are the major version number X - The number of orange LEDs are the minor version number Y - The number of green LEDs show the hardware version Z. Note that Y or Z may be zero (no LEDs). Press MODE repeatedly until normal operation. - Check in Dante Controller for FLX-* devices. Troubleshooting --------------- 1. Upgrade the Firmware manually: - Open a command prompt and navigate to the directory where README.TXT is located. Run the following command: "win\fwloader -f firmware\flx_dante.rpd -m 1 -e 16" - Update Dante as described above
